I wrote this with my former Art Director,
Darren Abbott (now Hallmark Chief Creative Officer), as we were building a small design team into a full-service internal agency. The lines about dissent and respect were my favorites—still are. Even the tightest teams can (and absolutely should) disagree now and then. And roles shouldn’t always dictate contributions. Wholehearted collaboration isn’t easy. But it’s essential to doing good work.
